Your mission
As Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d), you will hold a key position in our engineering team. You will be able to influence vital architecture and design decisions and help build up the tech stack of an exciting and extremely product-focused startup. Your tasks and responsibilities are just as demanding as diverse:
- Implement cutting-edge features for Bliq according to user feedback and our product roadmap
- Develop and architect our Bliq Ride backend and internal tooling as a vital part of our product engineering team
- Drive key technological decisions around system architecture
Your profile
You are right for this role if you are an entrepreneur at heart and always build with the bigger picture in mind. You are right if you embrace the opportunity of joining a company at an early stage. You should apply immediately if you are not afraid to work hands-on and deeply involve yourself in every single aspect of building a successful product.
In particular, we look for:
- A proven track record of at least 5 years of post-degree professional software delivery using JavaScript/TypeScript and as part of an engineering team
- Extensive experience with NodeJS
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React
- Familiarity with NoSQL database technology like Firebase or MongoDB
- Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lamda or Google Cloud Functions
- Experience in defining application design and making high-level design choices on architecture, tooling, and used components
- Ideally previous experience in a startup-like environment
- Self-motivated attitude, energetic & entrepreneurial
- Focused on getting things done rather than perfecting them
- Degree level education in a technical major, preferably Computer Science
- Excellent communications skills in the English language, both verbal and written
- You are preferably in Berlin and can occasionally work from the office. But we know there are great engineers all around Europe, so it also won't be a problem if you live +/- 2 time zones from Berlin
